DHSS has expanded in Port of IJmuiden and has opened a second location – An ISPS fenced terminal at the deep sea part of the port.
With the opening of this new support base at the Volendamkade in Port of IJmuiden, also a first offshore wind project started off. Installation vessel Bold Tern arrived at the new site, in front of DHSS’s new terminal to prepare for a new project, so did already CTV’s which are making multiple calls per day, by making use of the ramp at same location. A better kick-off could not be wished for.
The new support base is situated opposite our other facility and is, beside being the ideal spot for installation or walk to work vessels, also is a perfect location for CTV calls. Same goes for other type of offshore related vessels.
“By also making use of the ramp which is situated at our new terminal, we now have a multi-purpose support base in the deep sea port of IJmuiden, says Wim Schouwenaar, founder and CEO of the company.
“With expanding of our current presence in IJmuiden with this terminal, we like to mention, that DHSS is here for the long run. Our support bases are a foundation from which we are able to support our clients and able to deliver a comprehensive logistical package with the core concept of being the preferred gateway to offshore energy assets”.
Besides Port of IJmuiden, DHSS is based in Den Helder and Eemshaven. The main activities of the company are ships agency services, port logistics, warehousing and helicopter services for the offshore energy markets.
