Heerema Marine Contractor’s heavy lift vessel Sleipnir has arrived at location of future offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid. Named after the Norse God Odin’s eight-legged stallion, Sleipnir will install the foundation jacket for Tennet’s offshore HKZ Alpha HVAC platform. 

This platform, a high-voltage substation, currently build at Drydocks World in Dubai, will be installed in Q4 of 2020. This is an essential component of offshore wind farms that run electricity to the mainland, in this case the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam.

Our part in the project is to take care of safe transports of people and cargo via helicopter, as the gateway to the offshore location.

Hollandse Kust (zuid) Alpha will go into service in 2021.
