The environment, health and safety are given extreme consideration in the planning and execution of all activities at our facilities. We comply with legislative standards and go beyond these.
Our goals are simple – no harm to people, no accidents, no security breaches, and no damage to the environment. Every employee at DHSS is encouraged to take personal responsibility for this and report any unsafe act and situation, the first time, every time – wherever.

Health and Safety
We are committed to the health and safety of our employees, customers, contractors and our community. Our incident and near miss reporting system is available to all employees and shared with clients and contractors, to ensure that every HSSE issue is followed up thoroughly.
Our focus will always be on the prevention of risk and the development of a positive HSSE culture within DHSS.

Security
An important aspect of our operations is security. All our port facilities are situated at an International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) compliant area. Our airport facilities comply with the highest security standards, hence why DHSS is a certified airfreight agent, audited by Dutch Immigration.
Whether we are working in a port facility that is Security (ISPS) compliant, operating warehousing facilities or being the control tower over your helicopter flights , the highest level of protection is a fundamental element of the services we provide.

AEO Certificate – Authorized Economic Operator
DHSS is AEO certified since June 2012. This AEO Certificate (Authorized Economic Operator) is issued by tax service and customs to companies that operate internationally. It regards us within the European Union as being safe and reliable, especially where customs activities and warehouse procedures are concerned.

Environment
We are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment. At DHSS we commit ourselves to protecting our natural environment and wherever possible we seek to reduce our carbon footprint.
To achieve this and become a role-model of sustainability, we identify and document all the environmental aspects at all DHSS locations.

Through the effective application of the Quality Management System, DHSS aims to achieve the highest degree of customer value and satisfaction in the services we deliver.
DHSS has developed a quality management system (QMS), which uses ISO 9001:2015 as a framework that allows our staff to document and improve their practices to better satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers, stakeholders and interested parties.
